For me it comes down to presenting the “whole package”. I passed over some holy-arch caps because I felt they didn’t provide enough alternate angles. Now if I had known it would come down to selecting which short close-up had the nicest arch…

Gonna be honest, you’re sounding salty at this point. It’s a random internet tournament… who the hell cares at the end of the day?
I enjoyed CandidJane’s post far more than I enjoyed any other post here, but I commend everyone who posted anyways. Like you, I had many posts I COULD have went with that would have obliterated the competition but I chose this one instead because I liked it and the “whole package” isn’t the definitive indication of a good post - that proves it. Dare to challenge norms, amigo. Not everybody has access to beaches and beautiful weather year round and we make due with what we have - that shouldn’t be frowned upon.
Anyways, fantastic work, everyone. Thanks @anon80893824 and @SniperOG for busting your humps in putting this together.

Just an opinion and observation really. As you said many great submissions that deserve to be up top, yours definitely included. Excellent quality, just feel like it could’ve been more than 4 shots of the same angle, but sheesh it was still enough cake as is! 
Only thing I can be salty about is not having the chance to give you a run for your money in the finals, but any of the 11 shooters deserve that so it is what it is! In the spirit of friendly competition and to keep the peace, I will leave you with this gif’t.

The thing is, what’s the best… is entirely subjective.
I’m sure everybody gets that. For example, very few people are willing to take the risks I do, or get the shots I’m able to get. But conversely, very few people have the money for the type of equipment you shoot with (presumably), or the means to be in hot sunny places where there are half-naked women walking around at a moments notice - it works both ways.
Imagine if I was making snide remarks, like: “Oh, well, I guess I’ll just go to the beach and shoot there, so I can get 300, 400+ guaranteed upvotes like everybody else does making posts like that”. Nah, I shoot with what I have and make the best out of the situation. If I lose, I lose - it’s as simple as that. Just like you can’t get as close as I can, I - as of now - don’t have a high-res shooter that can get great shots at safe distances, I - more or less - have to be within close proximity. (none of this is aimed specifically at you, btw @anon41068831)
Many angles, faceshots… none of these matter on their own merits. It’s a variety of different things. I’d be a millionaire if I could count the amount of times somebody thinks their post is going do well and it doesn’t, or doesn’t perform to their expectations. Go to “Top Post(s)” on here and set it to All Time. If there’s one common denominator for those posts, it’s the “taboo” aspect of it all that trumps everything else. It’s the vicarious nature of seeing something you can resonate with (i.e going to your local Walmart, TJMaxx, etc) but experiencing something so rare, it makes it alluring.
Have you seen a girl like the one I posted? Sure. Perhaps many times. Will you EVER see her in the manner that I presented it to you? Probably not. If you’re wondering why something so simple worked so damn well, without the typical conventions people come to expect here, it’s because pulling off something like that is nearly unheard of, which makes it more alluring. You’re vicariously experiencing something you can resonate with, but also falls so out realm of most peoples possibilities, you can’t help but be captivated by it - and that’s the magic in it. The POV makes it feel like you’re experiencing it, yourself.
Anyways, hopefully this provides much needed insight. How well was your content shot? What makes it special? How do you believe it will resonate with your audience? Why does it DESERVE top honors over everyone else? Conventionalism won’t help much, but it will - at the very least - give you a baseline to work with. Because faceshots, angles? They are important. But they aren’t everything.
Once again, dare to challenge norms.

What a drama for a set!
I don’t think winning this tournament is something to be proud of either, at least I live my voyurism as a curse.
Hassx, I must say that I admire your work, and the skill you had in choosing the right set at the right time, but that being said, it seems to me that this is the most common post in the book, with a common girl, and that probably led you to victory. Which leads me to the theory that most of the voters are not creeps.
