Makeup stores are easy!! Actually, if you think about it. All stores other than like Victoria secret are pretty easy.
1- bring up a picture of some make up product or hair product on your phone. When going through the aisles, have that picture up so it looks like your wife or GF sent you.
2- when a worker asks if you need any help. Don’t push them away! They are your friends here.
“YES! My wife sent me in here to find this, would you be able to help me?” Have the worker bring you to the product, say thank you very much! They’ll ask if you need anything else. You tell them nope! Just gonna make sure with her I got the right thing. Thank you so much for your help.

I do this in women’s sections, makeup stores, etc.

Also, if you don’t like this method. Simply grabbing women’s products is not illegal
 pretend like you’re shopping for your wife.
You may feel weird because you know what you’re really doing. But from an outside perspective. You look like a great guy that’s out there looking for a gift for a women in his life instead of ordering shit online.

I’ll make fake phone calls and be like “what size do you think she would be” “does she still use XYZ” “alright I’ll send you a picture of a few things I find so you can help me decide what to get her”
All of these lines have noticeably taken any attention off me

100% solid advice. I do the same in general, might have a flyer with me, or a shopping list, or pretend to comparison shop on my phone.

sometimes I might even talk up the subject. Either way, excuse for phone out and snapping away.
