I don’t know how you guys do this day after day. I spotted this girl on the street over the weekend after she walked by and right after I started shooting, she turned around and stared at me. I gave her a thumbs up (!) and I felt like a creep for the rest of the day lol In hindsight, I guess I shouldve kept shooting to see what would happen…

What did she say, what was her “message”?
She stopped and stared, let her mouth drop open and rolled her eyes. Then turned around to wait for her friend to catch up and they walked away talking to each other. There was no smile.

She was recording you too. This one time I was capping a African American Female and later after I was croping pic I realize she too had me on her screen

Capping on sidewalks can be sketchy if its just you and her. I often avoid it altogether.
In this situation I think the best you could do is walk up behind her, get some shots of her ass and then pass by her.
If the sidewalk was super busy and since she’s wearing headphones you’d have a much easier time. I’d keep my distance until she’s about to cross a street, then move in close as she’s crossing (sometimes they can be distracted by traffic?) and then pass by her on the other side.
Being isolated like this makes women feel uncomfortable. Crowded venues are better because you blend in.
