Thinking about getting a dash cam that can run while the cars unattended. I work in a college town and frequently see coeds near my vehicle. Any suggestions? Overheating could be a concern.

Dashcams have wide angle lenses on them, so it would be really hard to get a great shot of a woman walking by. The subject will always look too far away, and the image quality would be too terrible to zoom in.
