Have a problem with the site's quality? Here's how you can help!

Some examples of what NOT to post (I ask in advance for users to be respectful as the purpose of this post is to establish a baseline quality, and not to discourage or demean particular users from posting their content.)

Why would this post not be approved by a mod?

  • Lack of focal point
  • Blurry
  • Out of focus
  • Far away

To further explain, no clear subject, here. Yes, there is a person in both photos, but there is too much going on here to discern, to any reasonable degree, what is supposed to be the main focus of this picture in pic 1 (The ceiling, the cart? etc) , and the subject is too far away in the 2nd pic, creating the same issue as the one in the first. (No clear, defined, subject)

For reference,

  • Focal point
  • Clarity
  • Distinct separation of background/foreground
  • Popping colors

In the first example, a mod would reject the post, outright. If it happened to make it past the mods (which isn’t uncommon. Afterall, we’re human), an attentive user will flag the post, in which case the mods would review, and likely, remove it.

Leaving rude comments, or making complaint threads, only creates dissent, which in turn creates more work for the mods, as we have to now remove the post in question, AND any subsequent reaction thereof. (incessant back and forth and non sequitur statements, etc). I’m open to productive conversation for change or concern, to be clear. What I’m against is ad-hominem attacks, patronizing, or in other words, any action from a user that doesn’t progress the conversation in a constructive way. Bring ideas, not hate, to the table. Once again, thanks!
