People seem WAY more vigilant than they used to - anyone else noticed?

I agree bro. Tikitok literally ruins everything. Most women are getting suspicious even if you barely have your phone out. We just have to find more creative methods lol

I’ve noticed that 8/10 times a super hot chick almost never alone in public. They always gotta freind, bf, etc with them so it’s harder to record them cause the freind will be on the lookout

Yeah it’s always the way.

The more you want to cap someone the less accessible they are.

The sexiest ones are usually surrounded like a fuckin queen bee

Meanwhile the ones you have no interest in capping might as well be posing for a photoshoot

idk, i usually find the finest women in tj’s and it’s usually so crowded in there that it doesnt even matter lol. it’s harder when it’s in a less compact store like walmart. i havent seen a true 8/10 in a while tho

This is the way to do it. Minimize the suspicion from the start. Granted you gotta sell it like an improv actor but practice makes perfect. Although if you’re too loud or obnoxious you’ll catch heat for a different reason. Fine line to walk but when done right it can yield some amazing frontals and profiles.

None of these techniques matter any more than the execution of them.

You’d be surprised how adept most people are at parsing out “suspicious” people, regardless of the solution. What’s the point of the most covert technique if the person doing it is an imbecile? Behavior sticks out. Like how we claim to be experts at anticipating movement, and I’m sure some people are, it’s the same for the people that can sniff out sus behavior.

Try to think back to a time you were out and you just knew something was off about someone… how long did it take? Maybe a millisecond… perhaps more. Which is why my advice typically focuses more on the psychology of the person than the technique of the device. General statements such as situational awareness, logistics, environment, etc. How you appear to people is probably the biggest hurdle of shooting close-distance candids… perhaps even long distance.

Which is why perceptions may be that people are more vigilant. Perhaps it’s true. However, what if it’s you? Something to think about. (Not you specifically - speaking in general)

Yes you are right, and this sucks

I almost ever see people looking at my camera, sometimes even the target itself

I avoid the women in their 20s because they usually know what’s going on first before the milfs and gilfs.

It really depends though cuz like you said women in their 30s and I’d say 40s that know they got it probably experienced some creeps following them around. That’s why the oblivious ones are the best but they’re getting rarer.

Tj is the best store for candids by far then hobby lobby imo

What makes them better?

I found IKEA is good because it’s a goddamn maze so you have plenty of opportunities to cap someone and make it look natural like you’re just browsing or thinking about furniture. But I don’t really go anywhere specifically to take candids anymore (because when I do I never seem to see anyone worth capturing)

I would say small store super crowded boujie enough for a certain demographic while also cheap enough for another

YES, people are catching on. I remember in 2017 that people were definitely less aware. One of my first “techniques” was just holding my phone by my side and walk next to girls on the street. I was amazed at how easy it was and how unaware the subjects were. I noticed not more than a year later that people were becoming of aware of just this method. I stopped capping around 2021 but still occasionally take some shots because I keep slipping back into the habit. Well, a couple times recently I tried to just walk past a stationary subject in a public setting with my phone by my side, trying to get like a 2 second shot… from their behavior it was pretty clear they caught on. I don’t know how I would be able to take any shots from now on.

With all this discussion about phone capping I’m surprised more of you guys aren’t thinking of using bag cams. It’s not as versatile or convenient but it’s a sacrifice you’d have to make if you want to be more covert.

The only real way around being able to cap open hand though, is just to accept getting busted. But the way to minimize the hazards of that is to cap outside. In a store, the environment makes it much more difficult to escape. If it’s outside, nobody is going to “detain” you or anything like that really. Think of every TikTok bust you’ve seen. It was either at a store, or beach. For a beach, I suppose you can still book it but I guess the real noobs go to a beach instead of stores lol.

I got busted once by this thicc Arab chick that had this massive bbl under her skirt. She and her friend noticed I was following them with my camera and she turned around and tried to pull out her phone to record ME.

So that could happen aswell

If things getti g more severe, may need to start capping using front facing cam (with dark screen app) so it will be less suspicious. But there will be a drop in picture quality

this is the way. it would also help to use a phone that is both smaller, and a colour that blends with your pants. guarantee you will have better covertness if you wear black pants and are shooting with a black 2022 iphone SE. quality will suffer though. even if girls aren’t purposefully looking for phones in guys’ hands, it’s hard to not notice a shopper with white pants holding a big red rectangle in their hand.

I stumbled on a Reddit post the other day from an anonymous user was talking about this site and trying to get it removed but asking reddit on how to go about it. luckily it didnt get traction but im sure with time this site might come under fire by the tickytockers.

That sounds like paranoia. I used to smoke before I went out and capped just so I didn’t have a ‘care’ to give if I did get busted but it sure made me a lot more paranoid. I stopped smoking before I went out, and seem like I handle myself better. Women look at me, but they don’t look at me in a way as if they know what I’m doing; you know what I mean?

That reminds me I saw this guy walking around doing the exact same but he had the dumbest grin on his face the hole time. Her was trying to cap this girl with huge melons with no secrecy. The girl ended up dropping her hand bag and left the store. I think I was the only one who noticed but still stupidly obvious.

Dude same, like 100. I gave it up now recently got back into it and I did a trial run and I felt so suss even without capping anything lol but same, want to get to a point where I can occasionally partake in this hobby but keep it chill.
