Around this time, I started to get careless. Whilst waiting in line, I saw a beautiful specimen duck into a gift store. I raised my camera to frame the doorway anticipating a quick exit on her part. Immediately, a woman called me out because she thought I was videotaping someone else who walked past my lens (who I didn’t even notice). “Did you have that girl’s permission to record her?” she started to yell. Of course I defended myself and pulled up the most recent shot from my phone which was of my family. She didn’t believe me and continued to shout as she walked off. Gotta admit, I was pretty rattled for the rest of the day. And definitely more careful.

For low angle shots I use my kiddo as a prop to look at “toys” that are low.
But before I do I make sure cameras above are not nearby.
