Howdy, for my first post to this lovely community I wanted to give some tips to you all about sorting media, maintaining a clean and less cluttered device and above all how to handle storage long term!
- Maintaining a less cluttered device (Mobile Phones)
For my first tip I would like to recommend MEGA as a free and great option to clean up you’re phone! The app can be downloaded via the App Store or Google Play store and can even sync multiple devices! (Like a Computer) If this is you’re new or are using my Guide for the first time I would suggest setting up an account as it has 20GBs of free storage for you to use at an given time. If you’re a picture guy, that’s more than enough to get you through a month or 2 depending on how many caps you take and a video or 2. If you’re a video guy then I would suggest uploading your whole caps then logging in via the Computer app or website then downloading them to you’re Computer directly for edits and storage. With that being said Computer storage is going to be you’re bread and butter! For beginners a good and cheap option would be to use a 1TB USB that can usually be found online for $15-$30 (Make sure its 3.0 Transfer) or if you want to make sure you’re files don’t get totally ruined you can spend double and get an External Hard Drive. A brand I recommend would be Sea Gate! Facebook Marketplace or eBay can get you right! Just make sure you wipe it before you use it. Simply plug in the Device, Download SeaGate Toolkit, Update the device if it needs to be and select “Format”. You can also just right click it from you’re list of devices when plugged into you’re PC and do it that way. Just un select “Quick Format” as you want the drive fresh for you’re caps!
TLDR: Got a full phone? Download Mega App, upload all you’re media, login to MEGA on PC, Download files then AND ONLY THEN delete them off you’re phone.
(Yes, There are other Cloud Services like Microsoft, Google Drive, ect.. but in my opinion, MEGA is the best and most privacy respecting!)
As for maintaining a clean phone, rinse and repeat weekly or monthly as needed!
- Sorting Media
Sorting media is different for everyone. Some folks just store all of it to a single folder like an absolute tomato of a human being or like me (and hopefully you) sort our caps! I do my monthly dump towards the end of the month when I have more time to relax and watch my media so I know where things go. Pics and Video folders are of course top 2 then inside I’ll have Big Tits, Huge Ass, Cute Face, ect.. So when I get to sorting I already have places for them to go. As for my Videos I have Edited and Unedited then with those 2 folders I store all my videos so I know I have to edit then sort them. It takes time and practice but once you get it down, you’ll be alright.
- Long Term Storage
Not much to say here as if you follow the Guide you will have manages to put it all on MEGA using a paid sub as 20GBs go quick and doing all you’re sorting and stuff from there. Editing can be tricky as it uses the cloud and sometimes things can go wrong or end up corrupt. If you’re like me and move it to a Computer then you have more of an easy time and can really get top most out of it. I got lucky long ago at a sale and got an 8TB External for $40 and I’ve been using it for years with no issue. That’s a ton of space and I even have all my games, movies and other personal memories like family photos on there with a almost 4TBs unused as of right now. I wish I could say there was a way to keep things forever but sadly that is not the case over time you’re phones memory will go since you’re transferring stuff back and fourth, you’re drives will begin to fail or slow down and in rough cases you’re evil cat will knock you’re shit down in front of you’re girlfriend and you need to pretend it’s all good but in reality it had some A Grade shit on there and you have to take it outside to fully destroy it so some weird guy who finds my shit at the junk yard doesn’t plug it in and see a bunch of corrupt and destroyed media and caps thinking there’s a creep on the loose! Or if you have a rig and a ton of storage use that but know over time you’ll lose bits and bobs of memory having deleted and moved things back and fourth so much. MEGA for the paying man is the best option. Granted you’re at the mercy of NZ not sinking or some intern not spilling coffee on you’re specific drives on any random day. Regardless you’re at the mercy of home, a company or you’re PC’s health.
