it’s almost happened before which is always funny to me because it shows their true colors and that they’re no better than me. But when it has happened, I usually tell them that I’d feel more comfortable if I left it with security or I point out that there’s a male name on the back

Idk what country you’re in, but if it’s the US this ought to help. Make a faux CashApp account in a female name, have a card shipped to you (it’s free) and use that as a decoy just in case they ever decide to play that game. No risk, all reward.
