So I started putting my phone on my side picket of my backpack and the captures have been fantastic. However today, at the end of my life I saw this group of girls I was low-key capping talk to an employee and point me out. They were all looking at me and the employee was taking notes or something so I definitely know Im caught.
Luckily, I walked out to the bathroom and then out of the gym fast with no one stopping me, then walked to the grocery store nearby so they didn’t immediately check cameras for my car.
Im gonna be out of town for the next week or so. Am I even safe going back? Im super down to not ever cap at that gym again I need that specific one for sure. Im just worried I’ll walk in with my buddy I usually go with and get outed immediately?
Anyone with knowledge on how a gym does this? EOS specifically. ANY HELP APPRECIATED THANK YOU
I cant help as no experience in gyms, just bumping, also surprised that a backpack pocket was noticable, was there a net or just a hole?
Girls see more than we do, they learn throughout life where to look at, so they notice holes pretty good, even on same background, the lens is visible.
Good luck man!
Phone was peeking above the side pocket so if you looked you could see the phone for sure. i just didn’t think girls would notice.
I’m mainly wondering if I’m done for at that gym. I go with a buddy that if he finds out I got kicked out for that I’d be ruined with friends and stuff and even my gf.
no way they noticed the phone set up probably just the fact you were wandering around in the area and thought u were a creep you would have to be next level spy to even catch a phone in a backpack because thats a common set up
Ah ok got it, yeah peeking is noticable if it looks like peeking and maybe you were breaking some safety standards too like following too much or any other, Id reflect on that to be sure and learn from that mistake if you did any.
Some girls just know where to look or had the same experience when guys do this peeking too much (In a shirt for example or jeans with cloth at bottom so phone never goes beyond the camera height). Its just bound to happen the more people do it.
But yeah like Rayne said, deny it as if you didnt do anything, I would go in naturally, but keep the phone in that pocket anyways, just not peeking, so it looks like it was peeking once because it didnt go fully down into the pocket (if possible ofc).Or just turn it around so when they said youre recording, you can show that it peeks with cam away. You get the idea!
Id also try to imagine the role of someone who was not capping and got called out, how is their reaction usually natural? And dont give them your phone, even if there is nothing, an innocent person wouldnt, and innocent person will try to defend themselves, which means fight, because flight doesnt work in that situation, it makes someone look guilty.
Thats what I would try to practice a bit and go in with confidence that I dont have shit(obviously dont have shit with you).
When you dont go, you’ll look even more sus because suddenly you’re not coming at exact same moment they pointed you out.
It probably wasn’t the backpack and phone setup itself, but more how you were acting. With that kind of set up it would only be suspicious if the backpack positioning was obvious or your behavior was obvious.
Like was it, “hmmm don’t mind me while i put my backpack behind you while you’re on the treadmill”
Or awkwardly standing or walking around a chick without a real purpose for doing so?
I agree. Plus the fact that he saw them pointing him out (so they know he knows he’s caught), then he hid in the bathroom and left immediately? That’s just adding more kindling on top
Although you have the chance to do the funniest thing ever.
Delete ALL caps from your phone (and recycle bin).
Take an “embarrassing” photo (like a progress pic of you in your underwear) so that it’s near the top of your photo gallery.
Next time you go to the gym, if those same girls and employee confront you, deny completely.
If/when they ask to see your phone, put up a little bit of a fight but not much.
After a while, ‘give in’ and hand your unlocked phone over to them.
When they see the photo, your defensiveness will be a lot more understandable, and they’ll feel really silly and embarrassed for pressing you for your phone/accusing you
(Although don’t do this if it’s just the employee confronting you- she’s just doing her job)
Hahahaha Id like to see a recording of this happening!
My go when I get caught and am forced to show them my phone, is to say that I have intimate images of my GF and me on it (like most people do so its not unbelievable). Didnt happen yet but Im pretty sure vast majority will feel weird and back out, or if severe and crazy person, they’ll just get cops which have to get a court order for that in most countries, so this should be foolproof.
Im guessing exceptions are public mob/group of people who can overrun you and take it out of your hands or any other “not so lawful” move the mob can do.
Yours is basically taking it to the next level by gaslighting them into embarassment and lowering their guards for next cappings too xD Evil incorporate!
If that happens to me I usually give it a good 2 weeks or even a month for it can clear out of minds and then try and go back but don’t do any more caps there for a good while
In general I try to follow the rule of “Don’t shit where you eat”. I know it’s too late for this specific situation, but for future reference try to stick to that.
As for your current predicament, it is completely up to you. You can give it some time and go back or you can just not go back there at all. Chances are though if you have not been reported before, you should be good. If you have reason to believe someone reported you before, then it is risky. If you do decide to go back do not take more caps, at least that’s not what I’d do.
And finally, as others have mentioned, it may have been your behaviour that gave it away not necessarily the setup. I do have a similar setup with a bag and what not (no holes or anything, just cover/distraction) and haven’t been caught yet knock on wood. You gotta get comfortable with it and make sure all your movements have some purpose/intent. Otherwise you WILL stick out like a sore thumb and others will start looking (for the camera).
Dude just fucking deny it. It is literally all in your head. In fact you should act even offended that they even suggested that, tell them you’re in a relationship and it’s disgusting, and also then apologise for overreacting and say you can understand why they may have thought that was happening and it’s sad that girls have to be worried about guys doing that these days. End it off on a good note and you may even become casual gym friends.
100/100 times if you have not been confronted on the SPOT, there is 0 they can do to you at any other time. They may just be extra sus of you if anything, but most likely they will never actually even say anything because they also have a small doubt in their mind as it’s only a suspicion not a confirmed fact. They can’t just accuse some random guy of being a creep without knowing for certain.
Long story short you’ll be fine and most of the worry is completely in your head. Even if they confront you in person on the spot, refer to the top of this comment and follow that script. And you have no reason to show your camera roll or anything like that either just say you can understand where they’re coming from but that’s not an excuse to just go up to people and ask to see their personal things.
By the way this happens so often to girls these days that most of them just shrug it off now unless the shooter is really creepy / persistent / blatant / just too creepy / ugly / smelly.
I wouldn’t let anyone look through my photo gallery regardless
My approach is to say if I was going to take creepy photos of women it sure as hell wouldn’t be you, which will probably knock them back enough they will drop it unless you were blatantly holding up your phone taking photos with the goddamn flash on
