Damn I was caught finally

So I’m at target, Getting ready to leave just getting a few more caps and then this white dude (security) is standing behind me and says in a super low voice so the lady wouldn’t hear him “what are you doing?” I was like fuck… I just said uhhh nothing because I did have an item in my hand but my camera was rolling so I guess he saw the screen side. My first thought was shit he’s gonna call the cops or ban me and try to make me delete all the videos so I was ready to run. :joy: he instead just said “stop what you’re doing and just leave man”. And buddy when he said that and just allowed me walk out… I was pretty happy :joy: I was shocked tbh. I figured he was gonna try to get me to go to the security room and get my name and stuff to ban me but nope :raising_hands: I even think he just saw me on the cameras and kept it to himself bc he pulled out his walky talky thing and said “Mike” but I didn’t hear no noise like a walky talky makes when you squeeze the button to talk, so I think he was just trying to scare me or something. Will post the caps later!

Probably because it happens so damn often they’re desensitized to it and it’s more of a nuisance than anything else.

It’s one thing if you’re scaring the customers while doing it, in which case I can see them escalating it. Otherwise, they don’t get paid enough to do the song and dance of calling the cops only to be told they can’t charge you, or for it to happen the very next day.

People in retail have to deal with so much other bullshit it’s not worth the hassle.

Target is the worst place to cap

Wait so you just turn your camera on and go hunting with the screen visible? Like you don’t use an app to disable it or are you caping with an actual camera?

If this is the case then you’re bold man.

Luckily he was cool about it. He might even be one of us who knows

That’s good man that it went smooth like that but you did still get caught. I know stores like that only go after theft but I heard somewhere that they have to call the cops only if a customer complains about being recorded. Otherwise you can just leave like he told you to do.

Ya Must of been to obvious I guess… Iv been doing this since 2019 but I always have a basket or a cart at stores and fill it up as I go so it’s not obv. And I don’t speed walk or anything Iv even been told by woman I was capping that I look very relaxed and comfortable along with compliments about my features :man_shrugging: I always buy stuff too for the cameras

But most likely he just remembered me and decided to come see what I was actually doing because I can admit that I was extremely impulsive, and frequented that place a lot lol sometimes I’d hit that store day after day for hours:sweat_smile::sweat_smile::sweat_smile: yes I know it’s not suggested but on a nice warm day all I can think about is a picture perfect booty :star_struck: I think I just need to start traveling and take a break from my area

BLACK SCREEN APP

For me I just turn brightness down and pretend to be talking on my phone😀

XSCamera is a good app to use. It runs the cam in the background. So you can have other apps open while you’re capping

Dumbest shit ever lmao … the brightness has to be all the way down and you need a privacy screen so no one can see from the side.

Good security man; that’s the correct way to deal with it. That, or just ignore. There’s no need to escalate the situation if you aren’t actually bothering anyone.

Props to the security guy for keeping it cool. Don’t you ever dare to cap in that place again or you won’t get lucky next time, go grab your groceries and leave.

Is there another way? Lol how would you see what your recording?

One of my biggest issues has always been fear that my screen would be seen so I’ve missed a ton of great caps, better caps getting closer etc over the years because of that. My go to has always just been turning the display brightness down very low to where it’s hard for me to even see the screen fully up close and using my body to block it from most cameras, people behind me etc. still is a issue if people come from the sides tho or if someone behind cuts to go around me.

You’re worrying about the wrong thing (people seeing your screen). People are more likely to notice your camera lens pointing at your subject. If your phone screen is against your body you won’t have to worry about people seeing your screen. Not many cirkumstances where you hold your phone out in front of you and it still looks nonchalant

You just need to point the camera at the target.

There’s no need to look at what you’re recording—if you can see it, someone behind you can see it too. When you’re capping girls in public, someone could approach you from behind or the side. If you’re using an app to hide the screen, even if they see your phone near a girl, they won’t suspect anything because it looks like it’s off, and you’re not even looking at it. But if they see you holding your phone with the camera directed on a hot girl and staring at the screen, they’ll know something’s up. People aren’t stupid.

And in the worst case, if someone asks to see your gallery, you can show them. The photos you take with the app will be hidden in a separate folder.
