I’ve noticed a popular shooter bootyfulcandid uses the DJI osmo pocket 3 freehand which seems really risky and I have no idea how he gets away with it.
I was thinking if I were to use such a camera how I’d conceal it and have came up with two methods.
Method 1: Using a sock
You simply use a block sock and slot the stick inside, leaving the lens exposed. This seems better than simply having the whole thing out.
Method 2: DIY vape box
Not sure if this is possible but you’d create a coloured vape case and position the stick inside. This can be customised with a logo to make it seem more authentic. I’m unsure if this would work though.

I have the same camera and never use it, I dont understand how he gets away with it. But Ive also been curious of ways to conceal it. I stick to using my phone.
Pocket 3 shooter here. I’ll be honest, you simply can’t hide it. Trust me. The camera, in this case the gimbal head, needs to be clear of any hard surface touching it to prevent stabilization lock. If the camera can’t move freely it will pop up a error message on the screen and you won’t be able to film. Your only option is to go freehanded.
This definitely isn’t a good camera to use lol. Quality is amazing but you can’t really conceal it. Bootyful obviously doesn’t care about getting caught lol the amount of looks he gets in his videos is crazy, there was one part he was following a girl up the stairs to a train station platform and literally everyone going down locked eyes with the camera
Bootyful does not conseal his camera he open hands shoots holding a black bag. He doesn’t care if he is busted which is beyond stupid but great for us.
Now it looks like people are onto him. They work in pairs
