We all know to lower your brightness all the way, but its not quite dark enough and black screen apps have shit camera quality. Theres a trick to make your screen 99% blacked out while using the iphone camera app! Here it is…
Settings > Accessibility
Turn on “Zoom”
Go to Camera
Triple Click screen with 3 Fingers, Zoom menu will pop up
Filters, Select Low light
Turn brightness down as normal, and enjoy your blacked out screen!
Simply Triple click and select no filter to reset brightness to normal!
Pictures for reference, I know General Discussion aren’t typically clicked on but hopefully this helps some of you out!
Let me know if anybody has any question!
Happy capping!
As an iphone user myself, it looks legit. I just found out that by pressing “choose region” and selecting “full screen zoom” with the other steps done, you can make ur entire screen darker and not just a particular part using “window zoom.” I havent taken any candids yet but cant wait to test it out eventually. Thxs for the tip
The setup I used to use before getting a privacy screen protector is to setup a shortcut that enables “Reduce White Point” and another shortcut that disables “Reduce White Point”. I paired the enabling shortcut to 2x Back Tap and the disabling shortcut to 3x Back Tap. Then, whenever I saw a target I would open my cam, tap the back of my phone with my finger. My screen would turn completely black and then if I ever need to see the screen I would triple tap and my screen would come back.
Your setup is easier to make work but I thought I would add my strat in case anyone likes complexity and cool factor lololol
