GIFS - Can We no Longer Share them? (solved)

Have been uploading quite a bit material as of late
But after the last Site Maintenance, I can no longer upload GIFS?
I get an error message that files are too large. GIFS are like 4MB
Let me know what I can do differently

It’s the same for me, I’ve been trying to upload a few GIFs and I get an error that my GIF is too heavy (above 97.7MB) while mine are from 10MB to 48MB. I hope it will be fixed soon

ditto, been getting frustrated, I’ve uploaded dozens of gifs before. Uploading images barely works too since the site maintenance but gifs straight up won’t go.

Haven’t tried gifs yet after maintenance, but it was always 10 MB max file size for me, is this a problem now, i hope it gets fixed soon

gifs either get stuck at some low percentage or get to 100% but then I get the same message as tacchins about 97.7MB. I know mine are all <10MB

Same! Just my recent post I tried to share GIFS and it wouldn’t let me and it sucks cuz she was a demon. Hopefully it gets fixed!

Yeah gif and certain pics have to meet required MB count if not it will not upload they did say the servers were full or something and with the maintenance theres more room now ig but maybe they limited the MB upload count

I’m having problem with images too. Took some great ones yesterday on iPhone. Even cropped them to make the file size smaller and unfortunately haven’t been able to upload

GIF uploading should be fixed now.

I tried with a 25MB and a 50MB one and it still gave me the 97.7MB warning

Okay, that seems to work. How long will there be a 10MB limit? Will the 97.7MB limit even be brought back?

I’ve been using site since 2024 and have only ever been able to upload gifs under 10mb.

Have not tried uploading anything since maintenance.

It has always been a 10 mb limit.

admin, is it possible to change the 10mb restriction to 20mb ?

that’s a bug, it never allowed anything over 10mb

It is possible to change the limit to 20MB. But the server already ran out of storage recently. Gifs take up a lot of space and its a image based forum not really meant for huge gifs.
