After being a frequent visitor to this site, I recently created an account to share my content. But after 2 posts that I put up, they keep getting deleted due to a supposed lack of engagement. For my very first one, it got deleted since I didn’t get 3+ likes within 2 hrs. Then, when I tried again, I thought I was set when I got over 10 likes. But, I then find that it got deleted since I didn’t reach 12+ likes within 5 hrs.
Seriously, what kind of game is this? How am I, or anyone else for that matter, supposed to share anything if the goalposts keep shifting? Seems to me that it only benefits the veterans of this site. I get a “UGH, another guy wants to share stuff…” vibe when stuff like this happens. Honestly, I’m probably gonna delete this account and if a mod wants to do me a favor and do that for me, then that’s even better.
Was your content good? I’ve never had this problem and haven’t been posting for too long. Is the photo quality bad? Perhaps share some of your caps in this thread so we can see em and give tips if you want.
It just takes practice man. I’ve only ever had one of my posts taken down, which was a bummer, but you’ll get the hang of it. I also agree with @Otacon, if you share some of your work on this post some of the more experienced cappers can tell you why it might not engage as well.
I think the filters can end up damaging some good posts during times of low engagement, not to mention when the site goes down. But overall, it helps prevent this forum from being flooded with mid or straight up bad caps.
Honestly, just keep trying and have fun! The real rush is during the cap itself. The whole posting part is just a bonus :)
Don’t feel bad man. I also had content removed from here before. This is just how the forum works.
This rule helps to prevent people from posting trash. You wouldn’t believe what some people try to share here. Once i saw someone post an old lady using a walker.
This really is the main question to ask oneself. Someone may think their pics are very good; but it’s not actually not the case in the eyes of many others. I’ve been doing this a loooong time; way before even posting here. And I’ve had a few posts deleted. But honestly, they weren’t the best caps. They weren’t bad. And I definitely felt they were worth a share. But not surprised they didn’t pass the test of time.
I even have an account on Insta that I post certain content of mine. And I frequently get requests to post the work of others. And although the people think their candid pics are great, most are pretty bad.
You make a great point , this isn’t an easy game .
We don’t all go for the money shots , maybe risk a little more. Get closer. Use different set ups. Ask the guys you see getting all the likes how they do it. Their tricks. I just shoot with my phone in my hand and been doin it for 15 yrs today for example I caught about 100 to 150 subjects and while that sounds like a lot it’s not when you go to Mexican flea market and mall. You just have to try harder if you want to play this game as you call it. I’ll show you one of the top ones I capped today she was working in a pet store and just had sold two huskys and I happen to be there when she did this and I saw her whole vpl while she was doggy style trying to get dogs off cage I was super super close
I’m new too, what irks me is how much engagement not oc caps get. I get it, were a community that enjoys candid content but wish there was a separate tag for it, it makes me hesitant to post my caps being drowned out.
does have to be asked too, how was the cap? get enough photos? angles, picture quality good? don’t beat yourself up for something that isn’t subjective. drop your caps, i’d love to see your work
You may not like this but Elitism is needed for a forum like this and candids in general.
Other forums will put your videos in the Low Quality section. My opinion on this is that there are too many joes that shoot videos that are shaky/blurry and the target is 4/10. I’ve talked to many shooters on TG that should never EVER be shooting videos, their material is just garbage yet they say things like “i’m the best one doing this shit, my videos are fire”
It shouldn’t irk anyone that Non-OC get more love cause those are the pros and they set the bar for others. I personally wouldn’t want some random guy getting “inspired” by a pro video and picking up this hobby, creating more awareness for candids when they get busted. The bar has to be high and clout chasing isn’t going to cut it anymore. You actually have to be good or sit on the sidelines and watch. A lot of people hate this point of view but its what kept candids alive for so long.
Back in 2006-2012 if you watched pro candid videos you’d be scared of even attempting to shoot. After Xhamster purge & with phone cameras getting better + people sharing techniques, people think they can pick up their phone, walk outside and start capping 1/10 then start selling shaky bad videos on cashapp or just for clout. Just like in sports/gaming the skill cap increases every year. New preferable metas/trends emerge (pawg+spandex is still #1 in 2025), but skill level and video quality will always be apparent.
so the “UGH, another guy wants to share stuff…” has to be monitored closely in terms of feedback from other users, it has to be… The risks outweigh the good. This hobby is risky and cannot handle tiktok busts for much longer… women are actually aware of candids now more than ever. Cheer Up man, That’s the kind of game this is, and the goal post has to shift..
Lots of factors come in to play when it comes to the engagement here from what I’ve observed…ex. the quality of the thread, like did you crop the pictures, was there good lighting, angles, even the title itself.
I think the date/time a thread is shared plays a big part as well. Then you got the really popular posts of that day where your stuff might get lost in the shuffle.
These are automatically deleted due to low engagement and it’s clearly stated in the site’s guidelines.
However, the site has its trends and that is something you’ll learn the more time you spend here, I’ve noticed recently maybe its been like that forever and I just noticed now. Caucasian women, if not, Caucassian looking women, in general tend to get more likes, even if they are washed out or not very attractive. Second, a subject wearing Yoga pants with an at least semi voluptuous-body, she is white = easy like grabber. Third, Bikini caps are easy to get good amount of likes as long as subjects are not morbidly unsexy. Post gifs of best the moments; some users ask to reach a likes goal in order to drop the video link for download, that also drives the likes amount. The hotter the subject, or rare-hot, voluptuously hot in yoga pants or any other revealing clothes a subject is wearing, the less effort you’ll have to put in the post to get a decent likes amount. Fourth, if something out of the ordinary happens in regards to subject, many like a good story, that drives engagement/likes, don’t make up false stories or falsely said “got busted” because your subject casually looked at your direction. Lastly, this site’s user engagement has been really low for months compared to previous year(s?). Don’t post on weekends as traffic is really low sat and sun, also do not post at night hours EST.
Here’s a short list of what’s of most interest based on what I’ve seen
By women race or color: Caucassian women > asians & latinas (latians are hit or miss if the place of the cap is not the in usa meaning, if capped in a latin americna country per background aesthetics and cleanliness looking on the cap) > black or ebony
By clothes or interest: subject wearing any overly revealing piece of clothing or private body parts of interest -breasts crotch butt- are revealed in cap (u-p-skirts don’t count and are forbidden here), bikinis included here > (if she is at least good looking or has above average in facial aesthetics) subject’s face > hijabs > yoga pants & yoga shorts > forbidden pants > jeans & office pants > other less popular types of clothes)
The more variety of angles you capped the better.
My 2 cents.. don’t feel bad if the post doesnt make it, you cap what you like and cap because you like it and however you like it. The moment you cap for attention online there’s no purpose to this unless you seek monetary gain, that is another story.
If your post(s) has been removed due to low engagement, be open-minded about it and assess why that is - project inwards, instead of out. Don’t be afraid to be your own worst critic; believing your entitled to likes and engagement, due to being a new user, simply isn’t realistic.
Very few people hit the round, running. You’re far more likely to fail gaining an adequate amount of likes on your first few posts than you are to woo’ anybody - that takes months, if not years for some users. You fail and then you learn from said failure. If you can’t be honest about your content, I assure you, you won’t fair well - full stop.
My advice - since you say you’ve been here awhile - is to observe and take note of the content that tends to chart high by any discernible metric, whether that be likes, comments, or a combination thereof. Set a lofty goal, chop it in half, and that’s where you will likely be, in time, with hard work and effort. Search up tips on how to up your game and soak in what others are doing to achieve that.
You’re not special - nobody is. Why should anybody care about your content? As soon as you can answer that honestly, I PROMISE you, you will become better.
And the way this site works is sometimes your post can get buried pretty fast. Assuming the content is good you have to also be aware of how many people are active at the time you post. That’s how there are even some epic posts that you can miss. It’s not always because they’re not good, but can easily become overlooked.
timing is very important when you post, something i realized the hard way
when i made a post in 8 PM my time, it got deleted cuz low engagement yada yada
but when i specifically targeted 12 AM NY with the same post, somehow it got enough likes to stick (my only post on the forum)
I am not interested in such stupid mind games and as such haven’t posted any OC since, this forum is great as a viewer and let’s leave it at that
