How I record

Hey guys just wanted to share how I record in my iphone.

  1. go to your settings
  2. click on accessibility
  3. click on display and text size
  4. scroll down to auto brightness and turn it on
  5. make it 100%
  6. swipe down on your control center and lower the brightness on the screen

from here I turn off my phone and click or hold on the camera button on the home-screen when i want to cap. I few tips is learn what wrist angles are best when recording. Also no one is going to be able to see your screen and even you aren’t in bright places . ALSO the darker the room or place your capping the more your screen can be seen.

Just use black screen application + develper options to enable corner cut out which removes the green light in the corner when you record

I don’t really like apps cause sometimes the quality is bad or the app lags. I prefer this way cause it’s simple and they go straight to my camera roll. The screen is literally black lol

the app discreet is also good. keeps the screen black as you record or take pics

I use an app called third eye it’s super easy and saves directly to your phone never had any issues with it so far s24 ultra

Why don’t you just use voice over mode??? It has a screen curtain so when you’re using the camera app the screen is completely black like it’s turn off. You just have to make sure your volume is turned down because it’s going to make Siri sounds

Not safe

how do you turn off the time while it is filming. at the edge of the black screen there is a red timetable running while i film, how do i hide it?

Can you give a little bit more detail on the dev options to enable corner cut out?

the time is white and a red dot is blinking while i film in the black mode

Why would we want auto brightness on? Would it not adjust brightness based on the light in the room, potentially causing a shooter to be compromised?

Guys on step 4. I ment Reduced White point

I use a wallet case where the screen is covered. This seems like a good option too.

I never understood how some of you use the “turn brighness to 0” thingy, does that mean you won’t use the phone for anything else while shootin right? you won’t see anything in the screen, chats, apps etc, i use background apps to shoot while i still can be chatting or using for something else while recording but i know it loses quality, if this “black screen” app can record with the black screen and stock camera i’ll defintly try it..

But still for some types of shooting i need to be doing something on the phone while recording cause having the screen black while pretending to watch the screen won’t work at all lol

Is this Android only? If so, any ideas on the best for iPhone?

Its not on the app store
