I currently use the xscamera, but I’d like to know if there’s a better app in terms of recording quality (screen off).
Aside from that I’ve started to notice that my s9 plus is getting old. My friend offered me a base model S23, and I wanted to know if it would be a significant upgrade in video recording, stability, and low-light performance. Thanks
I use an s23 and XS. The camera is still great if you’re shooting without a hidden app. I still haven’t found a hidden camera app that will let me shoot in 8K or anything higher than UHD. If you have good lighting and move slowly it’s pretty decent using XS. Most of my posts used XS.
I use the BVR app version 1.3.6.3 FULL. It’s already outdated, but this version is the most stable with the system. I record with a Samsung S10e from 1080p 120fps to 4k 30fps. The only downside of the app is that it slightly reduces the field of view compared to the camera’s native app; it’s just a matter of practice.
The app settings look interesting. Based on your experience, have you noticed a considerable improvement in quality from the S20 to the S22 using that app?
Idk if I’m just crazy, but I just turn my brightness down, start recording and then pull down the notifications/settings menu.
The only downside being I have to set up before capping, but I always had to do that with apps too.
Yet I always felt like those apps were volatile… they might not record, the app may crash, I just can’t trust them like I can trust the normal camera app
