I have a cheap phone rn, but I want to buy an iPhone 15 or 16 because it has Usb- C. Is there a big difference in the camera of these phone and the pro and pro max models. I don’t want to spend too much but I would like to know which phone you guys would recommend me so I get high quality caps.
It’d be a nice baseline to know what you have now so we can contrast the two.
But having owned many of the different high end phones available today, I don’t believe there has been a significant increase in phone quality in the past 2-3 years over the midrange to high-end devices. I’d argue even 3-4 years.
You’d be fine with either the 15 or 16. Keep your lens clean and shoot in a resolution at, or above, 1080p in ideal lighting conditions.
Any flagship within the last couple years are pretty similar in quality as they have been constantly using the same sensors. Get the newest for the most future proofing if that is important to you. The pro’s do have better cameras compared to the regular which is why i went with a 16 pro
Good answer
the Pro and Pro Max share the same main system, so you’re not losing out by going with the smaller Pro model. The Pro Max sometimes includes a slightly better zoom lens, but for most candid work, the difference is minimal. Both models support USB-C and ProRAW, which is great for quality and workflow. One thing to note—if you’re planning to use VoiceOver with the screen curtain feature (which blacks out the display), the green camera indicator dot still appears when the camera is active. Just something to keep in mind depending on how you plan to shoot.” Although you could over it somehow, a small sticker or marker.
