Candid Photo Tips

For anyone starting out, here’s a few things that have worked for me: Practice! Especially if you’re new. Walk around your home or the city and practice capping objects without looking at them. Look at yourself in a full length mirror and notice what looks right or wrong holding your phone. Walking by a object on the sidewalk, aim high, low, angle the cam as you walk by keeping everything in frame is the goal - without looking! The malls are good. Weekday, 3pm - 8pm. Weekends, any time really. It’s packed on weekends so easier to be conspicuous and more targets.

Most of my best shots were actually not “on the hunt” but rather just coincidental when I was doing whatever I needed to do.

Use an Android phone with a good cam and use BVR 2 (apk on the web).
