Please Fix Photo Uploader

Hey, this should be a small fix, but maybe not. Anyway, there’s a couple things that are annoying when I upload multiple photos. I hate wasting my time, so this issue may deter me from uploading as often as I’d like to, or at all in the future.

Here’s the issue:

I select the photos in order sequentially in my folder (I hold shift to save time, and tried just using ctrl separately to see if it made a difference, and it doesn’t matter) let’s say generic example would be: I select 001-010, you’d think it would upload them in sequential order, but it’s backwards after the first photo… It uploads the first photo I select, but then arranges them backwards after that, so it uploads 001 first, then 010, 009, 008, and so on after that. To me, sequential order matters, because each cap is a story, and if the frames are out of order, it’s extremely annoying for me to have to move them around for it to be in the correct order. And when I do move them, the program automatically duplicates the photo I’m moving… I don’t want my topic’s photos to be going backwards. I prefer chronological order from start to finish, just as video snapshots should be… I realize that this may be a Type A organizational personality issue, and that those that don’t really care, won’t really care… but I do, and I’m sure others do as well.

The way it’s set up, makes me do all this extra work just to post a topic the way I want it, and more and more it disincentivizes me to go through all the trouble.

My request, respectfully, is to fix this, so that photos automatically upload and appear in sequential order, from top to bottom, not backwards.

I’ve always had that problem uploading. Most of the time I’ll upload 1-3 at a time instead of the whole series. It takes more time but it’s just part of the equation in my mind.

With the way that it is now, uploading 1 at a time is actually faster… lol… no rearranging, no duplicate deletions… when it’s a normal post with like 15-20 photos, it’s not a big deal, but if you’re posting a mega thread, they need to figure something out for sequential order. It’s just tedious for no real good reason imo.

Hey guys, I don’t know if this was always there, but I realized in the edit bar, there’s a toggle switch with an “A” and an “M” and when you hover over it, it says “Switch to standard markdown editor (ctrl M)”, then when I click on it, it shows the long format file names alongside the images. It’s not perfect, but it’s easier to just cut and paste them in order, than to try to drag and drop… also, I noticed when uploading in this mode (markdown editor) it uploads them in order. For some reason in the “new rich text” editor it uploads them backwards.
