Posts just disappear?

I am strolling through 50+ new content that I haven’t seen. I come back from approving a few posts and don’t see what I approved. View a post or two more and come back to see the 50 posts down to 4 (new) posts. What’s the deal with that?

Normally I thought I’d come back to posts that got removed from not making the cut, now I’m not so sure.

Been weird lately, any post that has more than one GIF bogs the website to the point where I can’t do anything. Very annoyed.
