Times are changing

I’m very discrete and definitely a pro at capturing. Lately it seems like regardless if it’s a new store or not I’m being accused of capturing. I got confronted by someone who wasn’t even around me at my car. The craziest thing it wasn’t even for capturing it was just for being in more than a few aisles. Like of course I probed the entire store. But I say that to say this there are very few oblivious caps anymore. Times are changing and people know more than ever about Candids even more in stores. I think this is a wake up call for me to get “fully” out of the game. I probably try and cap once or twice every two weeks and everytime it just ends badly. This stuff isn’t worth losing your reputation and lively hood. I think from now on I’ll just enjoy what you guys post on here. Anyone else who has had similar situations up to date I ask you to reevaluate if it’s worth it or not. I’m not telling anyone what to do I’m just saying I care about you guys and this community.

Yes times are changing, forcing us shooters to get more creative than before. If you don’t have the patience for it, best to get out.

That’s interesting because although that seems to be the case, I’m capturing more candids in one day than I ever did in some weeks. I do notice people are more aware than they use to be, but I still believe it has a lot to do with how you’re perceived, your mannerisms/patterns/behaviors, how you’re dressed, the environment, situational-awareness, and far more metrics than a general insight of more people being aware.

Definitely agree with you couldn’t have said it better

Well first of all, probably yes.

However, your appearance and behavior is still key. And I think I’ve managed to become a candid shooter who is perceived positively by women as I get positive vibes from a lot of them (not all) as if they knew what’s going on but prioritize me being a nice guy and give me a pass. Then there’s also the hotness factor that they get out of this. After all, it’s this particular girl that I chose to find hot over some other chick. That doesn’t go unnoticed either, even though many girls would never admit to this.

After all, I must point out that we actually live in very good times to enjoy women’s bodies. Imagine back in the 90s having your big ass Camcorder with you following a girl around a store - you would’ve done this probably just once!

Back in the 90’s most women dressed modestly…baggy jeans and baggy sweatshirts.

More importantly, now I picture you as a fedora wearing neck beard, “nice guy” walking around the store like…“Good day, muh lady! I mean you no harm! Tis I, nice guy! Fear not, fair maiden, I shall not record you’r glorious body.”

i haven’t been busted for capping for a while personally… it’s the following part that’s difficult lol … a lot of girls are pretty sensitive to that. you gotta be slick with it , while often i am not … haha

I agree to the conclusion that the way you are perceived, gives you a lot in terms of being kind of accepted if you do what you do. I mean it’s considered as something nasty by most women, but being calm, having the right words to be spoken if necessary, gives you a heads up before quite a lot of shooters.
Don’t be obvious, don’t be an asshole, try to be invisible but at the same time try to emanate positive vibes while recording. Avoid being a weirdo, try to see yourself with their eyes. They’re no meat and I think there’s even a possibility to live kinda in symbiosis.

Me too I’m starting to notice them follow me around and kinda asking for it. Maybe that’s just my creeper mentality :joy: but I’m certain at times they even smile. Shave and work out brother if you’re more presentable you get better luck.

Yes a shave, shower, and smile goes a long way! I agree with you. Hard to be mad at a sharp dressed man. Put on some scrubs or something :joy: firefighter. Village people are loved.

It’s because of Tik Tok and other social medias of candid shooters being caught. Plus women nowdays will be more wary of a man with a phone in his hand (even if you’re not creeping) plus the amount of whiteknights out there that will call one out to get a %1 chance to get her number is funny.lol

Stopping thieves is politically incorrect, but busting straight white male pervs isn’t.

Yes to what ia being said here. I remember having to use a Sony Cybershot to do “hip shots” then put cam right back into pocket. It was a move you had to get down so you cover all the camera but the lens…

But yeah, we are targets now more than ever.

Just stay safe as Im sure many of us on here have a lot to lose if some wacko starts making a huge thing out of a photo…

i find that as long as you can give the vibe that you’re actually shopping it becomes 10x easier

Exactly! They barely arrest shoplifters anymore. We turn boys into girls. But if I wanna take a picture of a girls ass which is in public for everyone to see- I’m the problem? GTFO

See ,this is the main reason I primarily cap older women … they’re totally oblivious 9/10 times and you can easily talk to them and cap them at the same

@Evilevoix @dbcooper @SniperOG
I dropped a lil seed in another Lulu post, I was about to mention they fired employees for calling cops.
Where was this nonsense when I was roaming the stores? Everyone’s got a thing, mine was just that - I’d be rich selling Lulus right now!!
Start a Facebook channel or some shit :smirk:
