Howdy y’all. Recently I’ve been running across some absolute bomb shells that I just can’t help but try to cap. But my issue has been when I go to take a video, I do my thing, then looking back at it later on there’s like barely any usable footage, a frame or 2 if I’m lucky. Really disappointing obviously cus in the moment it feels like I’m gettin some good shots, but nope not the case. Just wanted to hear y’alls input because I know damn well I’m not the only one. Like how the hell do y’all keep the phone so steady and be dead locked on lol teach me the ways
my tip, privacy screen protector and brightness low. Holding the phone in your hand and not even thinking you’re recording. Look at the footage at home. Idk seems simple but just play it with the situation. Don’t act obvious
Have your screen brightness low. 0% for indoors and 10%-20% for sunny outdoors if you’re using the main camera app for video. If you know there’s baddies out in range, just press record in advance while you figure out the cap. It’s easier to cut out unwanted footage than if you completely miss your opportunity. As for staying steady, just got to keep doing it lol those nerves will eventually lessen over time. Anticipate their movements so it won’t feel as nerve-racking. Also you can try different configurations like shooting with the phone on your side instead of in front of you.
Use your side volume buttons to start the recording.
Privacy screen protector, low brightness, and arm scratch technique. Great starter kit, I still get by with this.
