Just as the author highlighted the photos he considers most realistic in relation to what he witnessed live, it’s possible that the photos of the faces also don’t do justice to reality, depending on the lens movement combined with the lighting, causing a kind of distortion/deformation.
I’m sure everyone who films knows that angle, distance, and lighting drastically interfere with the perception of the filmed object; filming the same woman vertically with the cell phone in the standard position will produce a very different result than filming her upside down (in that case, the result will always be more faithful to what we saw live).
Horizontal is another perception.
