Any iPhone filming tips?

I’ve been doing decent candids with my iPhone 10 but I have a feeling it’s outdated…
I usually just put my screen dark with an app and then film holding my phone to the side of my leg.

But for some reason I feel like there’s a better way to get shots with an iPhone?

I use an iphone 10 way older than yours and get some decent caps the key is being still enough and close enough

I have my iPhone 13 Pro Max in my pocket with the camera sticking out with it constantly recording. Grocery stores are the best for this. Gotta keep it nice and tight too.
