you can use the volume control to take pictures. make sure you turn volume down all the way so it doesnt make a click noise each time you take one

Gimp & Blender photos!
Blender & Davinci Resolve the videos!
Iāve used them and they are free and close enough to photoshopš
One I like to use is the phone belt clip holder. I have Note8 and use with background video recorder. Iāve gotten very good footage like this. I always record want I want to capture, then screen shots the best pics when Iām home. I also use the fake talking if I want to capture headshots perfect. When I was at Hooters, I was pointing my phone at the girls while talking to them normal. Got very good footage, will post of them later. All techniques do work and got to act very casual. Thereās many times you just left a location and see a target coming in but then you decide if you go back in. I always act like I forgot something to buy. Canāt look suspicious at all, like others have said, if itās too risky and people will notice , I just forget it.
Thanks for all the tips, the elbow scratch certainly looks effective. Another one Iāll be trying is using a prop like a book, like you say everyone has a phone but if they look at you theyāll see the book first.
Hi folks, Iāve been using a book as a prop and it has worked a treat, definitely recommend on top of the more experienced shooters say.
Like you hold it against your body with your phone on it?
What I was trying to say was that I put the book flat against my side and the phone on top with the camera facing out. Only tried this today but happy to take advice from the more experienced guys here.
Nice tips bro!! I really appreciate it!!
Something else going around. It will work.
I can see having like 10 cameras pasted all over my body just one record button
Make sure the sun is behind you when you take your shots. If the sun is pointing anywhere near your lens the pic is gonna come out dark. With good sunlight behind you, even black leggings can come out looking clear
nice tips bro, i will use some of these
@dbcooper this thread gets into it as well
Excellent advice! I especially like the part about knowing when to accept that you wonāt get the shot youāre looking for.
As the great Kenny Rogers once saidā¦āyou got to know when to hold em, know when to fold em, know when to walk away, know when to runā
Nice!! Added tags for quick hits
My go-to āpropā is a an unsealed drink like Starbucks or w.e. Use the drink and a napkin to cover the screen, use the volume for shutter.
Since itās a drink it looks totally natural to hold it upright around waist height to avoid spilling. And with very natural movements you can adjust the angle: subject goes up escalator - take a sip and point upward, booty is really low relax the wrist pointing downward or drop the hand a little.
Bonus: itās really easy to aim and see where youāre pointing. If a subject draws attention to the camera remain calm, relax the hand a little or take a sip in a ājust holding my drink while I walk/standā kind of way.
I love to go to craft stores. Hobby lobby, michaels. Thrift stores and goodwills also. Mostly wives alone because the husband wouldnāt be caught dead in that store. Thanks pal!
I been practicing using my samsung watch 4, i put something my phone can stand higher out of my front pocket to where just the camara is out, then i pretend Iām trexting using my watch as i try to get a good shot. I posted some a few days ago that i was impress at my self on how good they came out.
Good tips
Thank you for these tip!
You Sir, are an inspiration to us all. Great information here. I typically have tried to stay outdoors, but will venture inside more. I typically like how the bright outdoor light brings out the forms, but when the subject is right and you can capture them - go for it.
I typically hold my phone at armās length, and hold it with something small, like a book or sandwich box/bag ,This obscures the screen. (I acid apps because I donāt care to explain to the missus why I have a screen darkening app - lol)
I have typically filmed only, but will get into taking burst shots for quality. Cheers!!
